PHP | Imagick embossImage() Function

The Imagick::embossImage() function is an inbuilt function in PHP which is used to return a grayscale image with a three-dimensional effect. This function convolve the image with a Gaussian operator of the given radius and standard deviation.


bool Imagick::embossImage( $radius, $sigma )

Parameters: This function accepts two parameters as mentioned above and described below:

  • $radius: This parameter stores the value of the radius of the effect.
  • $sigma: This parameter stores the value of the sigma of the effect.

Return Value: This function returns True on success.
